Smt. Chandramathi S Rao

Dear Sir / Madam / Children,

WEL ❤ COME to this website, "chandramathi-nemmadi.blogspot.com" with the title "Chandramathi S Rao".

Mrs. Chandrmathi S Rao is the Founder Trustee of Nemmadi Shri Lakshminarasimha Trust (R), a public charitable trust, started in 2002 in Bengaluru (Bangalore).  The NSLNT is also maintaining a full fledged Oldage Home, well known as Nemmadi Vishranthidhama (NVD) for 60 years & above Senior Citizens, in Vidyamanyanagar, Bengaluru.

In the beginning, the trust was doing social services like, distributing books to poor students, new cloths to unprivileged children, fruits & medicines to senior citizens of oldage homes, blood donation camps, emission test to cars etc., for the benefit of the society.

When the Founder Trustee Mrs. Chandramathi, Managing Trustee Mr. Mukunda Rao and other Trustees visited various Oldage homes, they noticed that, the living place of senior citizens were not clean, no purified drinking water and food served to them were not upto a standard. Hence, they thought of starting a full fledged Oldage Home, in Bengaluru. By the grace of GOD and with the support of well wishers, the Trust started a oldage home "Nemmadi Vishranthidhama".

It is to be mentioned here that, When owners of the buildings were not willing to rent their property to start a oldage home, Mr. Subramanya S Rao, Trustee & Administrator  with lot of efforts constructed a building in his vacant site for the Trust. If he has not taken the bold step of constructing a building for the Trust, the Trust would not have been, what it is today.

When her husband late Mr. S Seetharama Rao, was rich, he has donated major portion of his earnings, to the poor people, Public charitable trusts, Temples and war fund of the Governmet of India, which suits a saying in Kannada, "Kereya neeranu, kerege chelli" meaning "Spilling the pond water, to the pond".

Late Mr. S Seetharama Rao

Whatever he earned, he gave it to the poor people. In the Hotel business he was cheated by his trusted people. He had given the Hotel business to them for management due to his bad health. The loss he incurred at the time, will run in to crores of rupees at the present rate of rupee value.

When the Chief Minister of Karnataka was late Mr. Devraj Urs and Prime Minister of India was late Mrs. Indira Gandhi, in the land reforms act of the Karnataka Government, the lands belonging to him were gone into the hands of the tiller. At the time, of these two incidents, his health condition was not good and the children were very young.  The financial position was very bad and in those hard days, no one came to help him. He did not ask for help with his  relatives or friends.

After the above incidents, he could not spend for clothings, food, education for children. Since, Mrs. Chandramathi had saved some jewellery, she could able to manage the family thoughtfully without the help of others.  As a mother, she had struggled a lot to look after her young children. She has studied middle school only. She sold her gold ornaments and donated Rs.1,00,000=00 to Nemmadi Shri Lakshminarasimha Trust.

Mrs. Chandramathi S Rao

Since the attack of "COVID-19" in  the World, the Mother Son duo, Chandramathi & Subramanya, are staying 24 hours in the Oldage Home. My hats off to them, for their sincerity, honesty, love and dedication in looking after the Senior Citizens of Nemmadi Vishranthidhama.

The Senior Citizens of the oldage home say that, "Chandrmathi is, Mother for all of us here". This is "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakkam", that's "Earth is Family" or "World is one family"
